AIR NIUGINI ANNOUNCES AFFORDABLE ONE WAY AIRFARES
Papua New Guinea’s premier international airline, Air Niugini has today released discounted one-
way airfares to the nation’s capital Port Moresby from Brisbane, Cairns and Sydney.
The special fares are now currently available and will remain valid for the rest of the year.
The fares from Brisbane to Port Moresby start from $336, Cairns to Port Moresby from $273 and
Sydney to Port Moresby from $523. All special prices include taxes and surcharges.
These special fares can also be combined to form return fares when separate tickets are issued.
Air Niugini Regional Manager Australia Charles Morley said these airfare specials are extremely
good value and provide additional opportunities for those PNG nationals living in Australia wanting
to return home to visit friends and relatives.
“The fares will also be of great value to everyday Australians to visit and experience first-hand the
historic culture and natural beauty on offer within PNG,” Mr Morley said
“As the Australian market already makes up half of the total arrivals into Papua New Guinea each
week the more affordable airfares now available has the potential to increase travel options for more
visitors,
“While the global airline industry is feeling the strain of the rising costs of fuel it is important for Air
Niugini to still offer its customers value for money,” he said.
The airline operates daily flights from Brisbane and Cairns to Port Moresby and twice weekly from
Sydney to Port Moresby.
