Spirit Signs Spare Parts Support Agreement With Continental Airlines


WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --


    Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) today announced the signing of a support

agreement whereby Spirit will supply structural parts and components for

Continental Airlines' total fleet of Boeing aircraft. This multi-year contract

will enable Continental to ensure availability for key parts and components with

predictable and competitive pricing for all Spirit catalog items.


    "We have worked closely with Continental Airlines since Spirit became a

stand-alone company in 2005, and we are both proud and excited to sign this

formal agreement," stated Carolyn Harms, VP/GM for Spirit Aftermarket Customer

Support. "As the original producer and tier one supplier to Boeing on all current

programs, we are pleased that Continental Airlines is placing their confidence in

Spirit's supply and support capabilities."

    Continental Airlines currently operates 370 Boeing airplanes, consisting of

737, 757, 767 and 777 models.
