LP Building Products Announces Australian Launch of LP(R) SolidStart(TM) Laminated Veneer
Lumber F17/E14
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
LP Building Products, a global manufacturer of engineered wood products
for residential, commercial and industrial applications, is pleased to
announce the launch of LP(R) SolidStart(TM) Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)
F17/E14 in Australia. The product is now available through Engineered Wood
Products Australia Pty Ltd in Victoria and Finewood in New South Wales.
LP SolidStart LVL F17/E14 offers spanning capabilities equivalent to
hardwood F17 at competitive prices. As an engineered wood product, it offers
consistency in strength and straightness unmatched by natural timber, and it
is available in longer lengths. Engineered wood products also produce less
waste in the manufacturing process and on the job site for a more
environmentally sound approach that also saves time and money. Plus LP
SolidStart LVL F17/E14 features chamfered edges for safer and more
comfortable handling, which together maximize efficient use of material and
time on the job site. A water-resistant coating comes standard on the
product, providing additional weather protection.
The LP SolidStart family of products currently distributed in Australia
includes LVL, Laminated Strand Lumber (LSL), I-Joists and zinc borate-treated
Rim Board. These products deliver significant advantages in terms of quality,
consistency, durability, strength and ease of installation. They are created
to work together to form an unbeatable building system. Because they are
available in longer lengths than traditional timber, they offer greater
design flexibility, faster installation and less waste. What's more, LP's
procurement processes are certified to promote forest sustainability, while
hardwoods harvested from tropical forests may not be.
