Brisbane’s Emporium Hotel one of the most awarded in the country
Latest title - Best Luxury Accommodation at the Queensland Tourism Awards for the
second time
Brisbane’s Emporium Hotel has done the double – on Friday night the hotel added another prestigious award to
an already full mantelpiece – that of Best Luxury Accommodation at the 2009 Queensland Tourism Awards. It is
the second year running the hotel has won the award, making the property one of the most awarded in country
within the last two years, since opening in June 2007.
Determined to show peers and judges it had not rested on its laurels since taking out the title last year, Emporium
Hotel’s entry focused on its many innovative packages and programs developed over the past year.
Speaking at the Awards, hotel owner and visionary Anthony John expressed his delight with the win,
which has
followed a successful year of growth and sustained performance.
“This past year has seen us expand and fine-tune our range

something extraordinary and promising an exquisite stay to both business and leisure guests,” Mr John said.

Person and joint awards for Best Marketed Hotel AHA Award and Best Small Luxury Hotel title in the prestigious
