Archicentre the independent building advisory service of the Australian
Institute of Architects will hold a briefing on the dangers of excavation and
building on the boundary.
The trend of excavating up to the boundary in suburban areas is on the rise
as infill apartment developments needing underground car parking
increase with urban planning policies target lifting population densities in
existing areas.
David Hallet Victorian Manager of Archicentre will cover the areas of
advice on actions that should be taken by people finding demolition and
excavation activities being planned on neighbouring blocks including in
commercial areas.
