Queensland launches 2010 Architecture Awards
Calling Queenslands newest, brightest and best architectural
projects and their creators from every corner of the State the
Australian Institute of Architects wants YOU!
The Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects has launched the
2010 Queensland Architecture Awards, with members now invited to submit the
best of their work for contention in next years awards program.
A record 213 architectural projects were entered in this years 2009 Queensland
Architecture Awards, including projects from as far south as Byron Bay, far east
as Willis Island [200 nautical miles from Cairns], far north as Port Douglas, and
far west as Longreach.
In total, almost 1700 guests attended the Regional and State Awards events held
across Queensland this year to celebrate exemplary contemporary architecture.
The 2010 Awards will be overseen by Awards Jury Director Bud Brannigan of Bud
Brannigan Architects.
