Thousands rally around Australia for Right on Site, tomorrow 


Thousands of workers and their families will turn out in rallies around the country tomorrow,

Friday the 30th of October in support of South Australian construction worker, Ark Tribe, who

faces up to six months jail for a matter related to workplace safety. 


Rallies will be held in almost every capital city around Australia as Mr Tribe appears before

the court in Adelaide tomorrow.     


Under the Federal Government’s construction industry laws, Mr Tribe faces jail time for

allegedly failing to attend a compulsory interrogation by the Australian Building and

Construction Commission (ABCC).    


The ABCC are investigating workers such as Mr Tribe, who stopped work over safety

concerns in 2008 at a construction site at Flinders University.
